Turbo Canyon Run
Turbo Canyon Run nails the single most important thing a mobile racer needs: speed that actually feels fast. You steer by tilting your phone, with auto-acceleration and a tap-to-brake button in the corner. It took us a lap or two to trust the tilt, but once it clicked, carving through the canyon turns became genuinely addictive.
The track design is the standout. Each route winds through narrow rock passages, over jumps, and past the occasional shortcut that's just risky enough to be tempting. There's a small upgrade tree for your cars, but nothing felt like a wall you had to grind past. We cleared most of the campaign on default handling and only tweaked tires for the later stages.
If we had a complaint, it's that the soundtrack loops a bit quickly. Mute it, put on your own music, and this is one of the best pure racers we've played on a phone this year.
What we liked
- Excellent sense of speed and handling
- Smart track layouts with real shortcuts
- Fair upgrades that never feel like a wall
