About
Pocket Lane started as a shared chat between a few friends who kept sending each other screenshots of weird little racing games. At some point we figured we might as well write it all down properly, so here we are. The site is small on purpose and we like it that way.
We focus on games you can realistically play on a phone during a commute or a coffee break. That means we care a lot about controls, battery drain, and whether a game respects your time. A gorgeous trailer means nothing if the first ten minutes bore us.
Games end up in our catalog one of two ways: either someone on the team got hooked and couldn't stop talking about it, or a reader pushed us to try something we'd overlooked. Every review reflects hours of real play, not a quick skim of the store page.
We're independent and plan to stay that way. Nobody pays us to rank a game higher, and if we ever tried a title and bounced off it, we'll tell you that too.
